SmartAuctions.co will be covering the Creating Legends Online Sale and the auction will run from November 5-10, 2018, closing the night of the JB Futurity finals!

• The JB Quarter Horses Online Sale will be conducted racehorse style and will begin closing at 7:00 p.m. on November 10, 2018.
• The access the auction go to www.smartauctions.co
• To view the videos click on the individual lot from the ALL ITEMS web page and you will see the video listed with each particular lot.
• To place a bid on an item you must register for the auction. When you click on an individual lot it will show “Want to place a bid?” with a “REGISTER NOW” tab right below it. Click on the “REGISTER NOW” tab and input your correct information with a valid address, mobile phone number and e-mail address. It will also eventually ask for a credit/debit card. You must fill this in to verify your identity, but you will not be charged for any purchases on your credit card unless you specifically request that after the sale is completed. If you do not wish to pay with a credit card then do not choose to do so. SmartAuctions will e-mail an invoice to all successful bidders following the auction. If you do wish to pay with a card then a 5% transaction fee will be charged. If you pay by check or wire transfer the 5% transaction fee will be waived. Once you have registered you will have a username and password and will not have to register for this auction again.
• Once you have placed a bid you will receive confirmation via a text message regardless of whether you bid over a traditional computer, a tablet or a smart phone. You will also receive a text message when you have been outbid. This will save you from having to watch the entire auction if you do not wish to.

• What is a racehorse style auction? A racehorse style auction is a timed auction that has no sale order and closes every lot at the same time. Once the auction hits 7:00 pm MT on Saturday, November 10th there will be 5 minutes left on the clock. If nobody bids in this time frame the auction closes and each lot sells to the highest bidder for that particular lot. If somebody does bid in this time frame then the clock resets to 5 minutes and counts down again. This process will continue until no other bids are placed and the clock reaches zero. This approach eliminates the need for a sale order and allows customers the opportunity to select another lot once the lot they have been bidding on is beyond their limit.
• Should I wait until the last second to bid? No!! Your countdown timer is an estimate and may not match exactly with the auction server. If you wait until the last second to bid you run the risk of your countdown clock being off by a few seconds and the auction closing before you place your bid.
• Will the sale refresh automatically? Yes. If you are watching the auction on a smart phone and leave your web browser you may need to refresh when you first return to the webpage. If ever in doubt go ahead and refresh.
• Can I make this to where I only see/follow the lots I’m interested in? Yes, once you click on an individual lot there will be a tab with a star next to it that says “Watch This Item”. Click on it and then when you return to the all items page you will see a tab at the top that says “My Activity”. Click on this and you will only see the items you have starred. You can also un-watch a lot by clicking “Stop Watching” on the individual lot.
